“Shoot In Manual” is a little project we created to encourage camera owners and aspring photographers to take their camera’s off of Auto. And no, Aperture priority doesn’t count, either. That is also a form of “Auto”.
I want to start by congratulating you, as you have made a pledge to learn to shoot in manual, which to me is the secret to becoming a truly effective photographer. It’s the main difference between amateur photography and pro. In fact, I can honestly say that I have never met a photographer who shoots entirely in M, who I did not feel was a GREAT photographer!
The longer you wait to learn and understand, the more photo opportunities are going to pass you by. It’s time to stop taking snapshots and start making photographs!
